EcoAlpha’s Reuse Winter Drive was a community initiative aimed at helping those in need while promoting sustainability. We collected over 300 gently used items, including coats, sleeping bags, shirts, boots, hats, mittens, pants, and kitchen essentials like pots and pans, which were donated to Sharing and Caring Hands. These items provided essential support to homeless and low-income individuals, helping them stay warm and cared for during the cold winter months.
The drive was a collaborative effort, with EcoAlpha members playing a key role in its success. They designed creative flyers to promote the event, distributed them throughout the neighborhood, and shared them on social media platforms like Nextdoor.com. Their dedication inspired neighbors and friends to participate, turning the drive into a true community project that brought people together for a meaningful cause.
This initiative reflected EcoAlpha’s mission to care for both people and the environment. By giving these items a second life, we reduced waste and showed how reusing resources can make a difference.
