EcoAlpha youth collected used napkin boxes, cosmetic boxes, greeting cards, cloth labels, and other reusable materials that might otherwise have been discarded. They carefully cut the materials into bookmark-sized pieces and decorated them with colorful drawings and original artwork, transforming everyday packaging into attractive and useful creations. 

The completed bookmarks were donated to a local library for readers and community members to enjoy. Through this hands-on activity, the youth learned how creative reuse can reduce waste, extend the life of common materials, and inspire more sustainable habits. The project combined art, environmental responsibility, and community service while giving discarded materials a meaningful new purpose.
