EcoAlpha organized an innovative project by transforming old clothes and cardboard into engaging toys for cats and dogs. Members collaborated to craft scratching pads for cats, sturdy chew toys for dogs, and other playful accessories, demonstrating creativity and teamwork. This sustainable activity promoted resourcefulness by creatively repurposing materials that might otherwise have been discarded, significantly contributing to waste reduction.
All handcrafted items were thoughtfully donated to the Carver Scott Humane Society. During the visit, EcoAlpha members not only delivered the toys and accessories, they also spent time playing with the pets, offering companionship and warmth to animals who need human connection. Through this project, EcoAlpha not only advocated for environmental responsibility but also supported local animal welfare by providing both resources and emotional care. The activity highlighted how combining sustainability, creativity, and compassion can positively impact both the environment and the lives of animals in need.
